Some pretty exciting updates fundraising wise!

As mentioned in my last blog, I had an interview with the Hugh and Montague Leney (Travelling) Awards Trust on the 6th March. In this interview, I met the trustees and gave a presentation about my year, followed by some questions.

I then got an email yesterday from them pledging the absolutely astounding amount of £2,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This means, along with the other pledged amounts, that I'm nearly there! With about £500 or so left to raise! :D

As mentioned previously, I'm holding a quiz at QE School in Faversham on 28th April which should be a really good evening and hopefully bring in this remaining money! :)

Thankyou for all your support. Every little bit really does help and I'm so grateful to everyone who's donated, pledged, or supported me in any way!

February/March Update

Hi all!

In the last few months I've had some more extremely generous donations from various trusts and businesses.

Faversham Rotary Club contributed a sum of £200 - which is brilliant!

I also had an letter from one of the trustees of the Forest Hill Trust. The trust were unable to consider my application but Dr Horace Pile contributed a personal donation of £100 towards my fund, which was completely unexpected but absolutely amazing!!

I also wrote to NMB Insurance in London, who have just replied with the promise of a further £500!

This brings my total up to £2,488.30 - very nearly halfway there! :D

I have an interview for the Hugh and Montague Leney Travelling Award next week - so all very exciting stuff and fingers crossed for that!!

On the events front, I have decided on a date for my quiz - Friday 27th April!

So, hopefully that will be a good event which will raise a ton of money! :)

And yeah.. that's pretty much it from me for now :)
